6: Nominations for the first time for the cast members of “Ted Lasso”. Most of the half-dozen performers were virtually unheard of in the United States before the football comedy arrived. They include star Jason Sudeikis with Brett Goldstein, Nick Mohammed, Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift and Juno Temple.

5: Nominations for the first time for the cast members of “Hamilton”. There is little “Hamilton” hasn’t done, few awards he hasn’t won, but the TV version of the Broadway show on Disney + brought Renee’s first career Emmy. Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Anthony Ramos, Phillipa Soo and Daveed Diggs.

4: Men from “Ted Lasso” nominated in the same category. Goldstein, Mohammed, Swift and Brendan Hunt make up half of the nominees for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

3: Actors nominated for two different shows. Jean Smart is nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for “Hacks” and Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie for “Mare of Easttown”. Aidy Bryant was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy for “Shrill” and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for “Saturday Night Live”. His “SNL” castmate Kenan Thompson was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for that show and Best Actor in a Comedy for “Kenan”.

2: Nominated for the best variety sketch series. The category will be a one-on-one game between “Saturday Night Live” and “A Black Lady Sketch Show” over the course of a year of thin sketch selections. The relatively new category only had three nominees last year, but has included five or six every year since 2015.
