Pitch Perfect TV Series Filming Wraps Up, Title Confirmed

Shooting on Peacock and Universal Television Perfect TV series has officially ended and its title has been confirmed. Star Adam Devine took to Instagram on Saturday to share a photo marking the end of filming on Pitch Perfect: Bumpers in Berlinwriting in the caption that “after 3 months in Berlin, techno now makes sense”.

Peacock first announced the Perfect television series last fall. The series will see Devine reprise his role as Bumper from the first two Perfect movies, described by the streamer as “several years after we last saw him in PerfectAdam Devine’s Bumper Allen moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes famous in Berlin.”

“Our upcoming ‘Pitch Perfect’ series is another example of the unparalleled synergy that NBCUniversal is able to develop with our vast library of IP,” said Susan Rovner, President, Entertainment Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, in a release when the series was announced. “When we saw the opportunity to create a series for ‘Pitch Perfect’ starring Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Paul Brooks along with other earworm classics for super fans, we jumped on it. And for To top it off, we’re so lucky to have Adam Devine headline the show and bring fans the quirky, hilarious sensibility they loved in the film franchise.”

“We’re so excited to have the opportunity to bring Universal Pictures’ beloved ‘Pitch Perfect’ franchise to the small screen and explore the hilarious and distinct characters of this (music filled) world,” said said Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television. “We are fortunate to partner with the talented Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Paul Brooks, who produced the iconic films; the exceptionally funny and memorable Adam Devine; and Megan Amram, whose clever adaptation of ‘Pitch Perfect’ is sure to have an audience laughing out loud and tapping their feet.”

Pitch Perfect: Bumpers in Berlin is set to perform Devine with The Suicide Squad star Flula Borg, Sarah Hyland and Jameela Jamil, among others. Pitch Perfect: Bumpers in Berlin has received a straight-to-series order and does not yet have a release date.

Inspired by the Mickey Rapkin book of the same name, Perfect would spawn three films and collectively gross over $600 million at the worldwide box office. Anna Kendrick leads the cast of the films, flanked by Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Alexis Knapp, Ester Dean, Hana Mae Lee Skylar Astin, Ben Platt, Flula Borg, Hailee Steinfeld and Elizabeth Banks.
