Snowpiercer: Season Four Production Begins, Clark Gregg & Michael Aronov Join TNT Series – Canceled + Renewed TV Shows


The third season of snowdrops The TV series aired tonight and production has just started for the fourth season. Actors Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov have joined the cast of the TNT drama while Paul Zbyszewski will take over as showrunner. The show has been renewed for a fourth season as production on the third season ended in July 2021.

A series of post-apocalyptic sci-fi thrillers, snowdrops stars Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Archie Panjabi, Annalize Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, Mike O’Malley, Chelsea Harris , and Steven Ogg. Set over seven years after the world became a frozen wasteland, the series focuses on the remnants of humanity inhabiting an ever-moving train, Snowpiercer, which circles the globe with hundreds of cars. In season two, Layton (Diggs) and Ruth (Wright) were banished to Big Alice’s compost car and they plotted to take over Snowpiercer. With help from Javier (Urbina) and Alexandra (Blanchard), Layton and Ruth made it back to the train and rallied their supporters. Josie (McGuiness) destroyed the Aquarium car, separating Snowpiercer’s head from the remaining 1,023 cars. The third season picked up with Layton and his entourage commanding a small 10-car “pirate train” in search of Melanie (Connelly) and a possible hot spot to restart civilization. Back on Snowpiercer, Mr. Wilford (Bean) consolidates his power while waiting for Layton to return..

LOS ANGELES (March 28, 2022) – Production begins today in Vancouver, Canada on the fourth season of TNT’s cable television series, “Snowpiercer.” Produced by Tomorrow Studios, season four adds new cast members Clark Gregg (“Agents of SHIELD,” “The Avengers,” “Thor”) and Tony® Award winner Michael Aronov (“The Drop,” “The Americans,” “Operation Finale”), and new showrunner and executive producer, Emmy® nominee Paul Zbyszewski (“Lost,” “Agents of SHIELD,” “Helstrom”).

In episode 9 of season 3, Layton (Daveed Diggs), Ben (Iddo Goldberg), Josie (Katie McGuinness), Alex (Rowan Blanchard) and Javi (Roberto Urbina) unite to save Melanie (Jennifer Connelly). Relieved to find her alive, she is brought back aboard the train safely, resulting in an explosive party on the train. The celebration is cut short, however, when Melanie exposes Layton for misleading passengers by offering hope of finding a viable existence in New Eden. Alliances are tested in the action-packed finale of the third season, which airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TNT.
