Actors Kevin Conroy (Batman: the murderous joke) and John Glover (Small city) has revealed their upcoming audio drama titled Batman: The Animated Series Saturday at Los Angeles Comic Con, according to Hollywood journalist. The podcast will include the original cast and continue into the 1990s Batman: The Animated Series.
Batman: The Animated Series aired for 85 episodes from 1992 to 1995 and starred Mark Hamill (Child’s play) as Joker and featured Harley Quinn, played by Arleen Sorkin (The funniest people in America). The show, which won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program in 1993, launched Conroy as a Batman voice actor and is currently considered one of the greatest animated comic book TV series by critics. .
Original series writer Alan Burnett (The New Adventures of Batman), is attached to write for the audio project.
âIt’s a great script by Alan Burnett and it brings back the original cast,â Conroy said, via Hollywood journalist.
While it’s still unclear which voice actors will reprise their roles, the show’s living cast includes Paul Williams (Phantom of paradise), Richard Moll (Headless Horseman), David Warner (Titanic), Diane Pershing (The Force of Freedom), Adrienne Barbeau (Fog), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), MÃ©lissa Gilbert (Little house in the meadow) and Loren Lester (Defenders of the Earth). No distribution platform for the new podcast has yet been revealed.
Several superheroes audio dramas are currently available to stream, including those from HBO Max Batman: Audio Adventures, Spotify coming soon Batman not buried, Marvel Wolverine: The Long Night, and Wolverine: The Last Lead.
