The Summer I Turned Pretty Series Release Date Revealed

Despite the end of Jenny Han’s To All the Boys trilogy on Netflix, another of her books may soon receive a film adaptation. Variety claimed that Amazon is adapting the author’s YA novel The Summer I Turned Pretty into a TV series.

When will it be broadcast for the first time?

The eight-episode series has yet to be set for a release date. According to Han, “The Summer I Got Pretty has been in the works for many years, and I’m so excited to tell Belly’s story in 2021. For long-time book fans, I think it will have been worth the wait. For those new to the Summer series, I hope you fall in love with these characters and this place that is so close to my heart.

The summer I shot a long-awaited story

Even though Isabel “Belly” Conklin is engaged in a love triangle between two brothers in The Summer I Got Pretty, the story isn’t all about teenage love. Mother-daughter relationships and female friendships should also feature in the “multigenerational drama.” According to Deadline, “It’s a coming-of-age tale about first love, first heartbreak, and the enchantment of that perfect summer.”

In 2009, The Summer I Turned Pretty was first released as a hardcover book. First, it’s not summer without you, then we’ll always have summer, and now there are three books in the series.
