The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus to Receive Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Based on the comics of the same name, The Walking Dead has since grown into one of the biggest horror franchises, with a series of books, games, merchandise, and six spin-off series. The Walking Dead will enter the final part of its final season on October 2.


With The Walking Dead having had an 11-season run, many characters have come and gone from the show. As of season 11, only two characters remain from season 1: Melissa McBride’s Carol Peletier and Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon. Daryl is one of the show’s most beloved characters among fans, and despite The Walking Dead ending this year, the series finale won’t be the last time viewers see Daryl. Last April, it was announced that Daryl would be getting his own spin-off series, which will be filmed and set in Europe and premiere in 2023. Reedus’ popularity skyrocketed thanks to his role in The Walking Deadand his fame is about to be officially commemorated forever.

The Walking Dead Showrunner Greg Nicotero and horror film director Guillermo del Toro will unveil Reedus’ star during the ceremony. While Reedus has had a storied career spanning TV shows, movies, and even video games, it’s worth noting that he will receive a star on the Walk of Fame for the television category.

Considering Reedus starred in one of the most popular horror television series of all time for 11 consecutive seasons, it’s no surprise that he’s been honored with a star for his television work.
