Zombie Deadpool figure rises at Hot Toys

Hot Toys is releasing a highly detailed Zombie Deadpool figure that features a plethora of weapons, a comic book backdrop, and zombified friends.

Deadpool, as he was in Marvel zombies, comes out of the grave in a new Hot Toys figure set.

The sixth scale figure (31 centimeters tall), which is currently available for pre-order on Sideshow.com, is “a visually stunning piece featuring the remnants of torn and torn costumes that depict the Merc with a mouth of Marvel zombies comic book pages. ” Marvel zombies was a limited series of five issues by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips which ran from December 2005 to April 2006; it tells the story of an alternate universe where Marvel superheroes were infected with a virus and turned into zombies. The limited series then inspired an episode of Disney + What if…? and an animated next Marvel zombies series.

The Deadpool figure includes a wide variety of accessories, depending on the toy description. This includes “a newly developed masked head sculpture with disgustingly beautiful detail; interchangeable eyepieces and rotten mouthpieces with exposed teeth to create many combinations of gruesome expressions; a finely tailored red and black costume specially applied. with distress effects; an amazing painting on damaged muscle tissue and exposed skeletal parts; a range of weapons including a pair of katanas, pistols, a dagger and an arrow that can be attached to the sculpted head. “

Plus, Zombie Deadpool isn’t alone. The toy also comes with several additional members of the Deadpool Corps, like zombified versions of Headpool and Squirrelpool. Duckpool and Dogpool appear as part of the comic book-themed backdrop.

This new action figure isn’t the only recently released toy that Marvel fans are excited about. Hot Toys also launched a line of special products Spider-Man: No Path Home figures that offer a unique take on Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, and a collection of mini figures including Tony Stark / Iron Man and Mysterio figures. Additionally, the toy maker is currently accepting pre-orders for a highly detailed Florence Pugh figure of Yelena Belova from Black Widow, which is expected to ship between October and December 2022.

Additionally, there have been a slew of toy releases outside of the Marvel and superhero context. The Good Smile Company, for example, currently offers a 1/4 scale Kyojuro Rengoku action figure from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba that comes with a stunning flame effect; the company has also re-released its 1/48 scale replica of the Swordfish II spaceship from the classic animated series Cowboy Bebop.

The Zombie Deadpool figure retails for $ 270 and shipping is expected to start later this month. Movies dead Pool and Deadpool 2 are currently available to stream on Hulu.
